The Point of No Return

The Point of No Return

19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” 20 They IMMEDIATELY left their nets and followed Him."—Matthew 4:19-20 (NKJV)

Are you at the point of no return?
There comes a time in every believers faith journey when God call you beyond comfort, fear and familiarity. You know it. It's that call to come up higher and walk heavier. It is where you stop looking back and fully surrender to follow Jesus. When God calls, answer immediately. Why? Delayed obedience keep you bound, but surrendered obedience launches you into purpose.

The point of no return is not the point of destruction, it deliverance and redirection. It's the turning point where decisions are made to align yourself with God's purpose or keep doing what you've always done. It is the moment you decide you cannot go back to old mindset, old habits, old bondage or old life, because God has called you forth.

Ask yourself:

  1. What fear keeps trying to pull me back into old patterns?
  2. Where is God calling me to trust Him without having all the details?
  3. How would my life change if I obeyed God immediately?
  4. What “nets” am I still holding onto that Jesus is asking me to leave behind?
  5. What is one step of surrender I can take today?
